Roni Size & Reno Ka Feat. Katya Gabeli & Prodbyinsula - Battle Lines / Mansion Sounds

A name which needs little introduction, Roni Size teams up with talented singer/songwriter Reno Ka to deliver a modern day master piece of art, titled Battle Lines.

Having worked in the past with popular House music imprints such as Nervous Records & Defected Records we are delighted to bring Reno into the world of Drum & Bass and what better way than to team her up with one of the scenes most well-known figures, Roni Size, to work their magic together. And Roni & Reno do not disappoint! From catchy guitar riffs to punchy drums and complimentary bass patterns topped with Reno’s soulful vocals, this ear worm will certainly be playing repeatedly and involuntarily in your mind, often even when it's no longer playing aloud.

That sounds strange, right? All signs of a great song which feature the smooth sounds of ProdbyInsula - who has had notable contributions with the BBC, MTV & Sky Sports - on bass guitar and Katya Gabeli who is a classically trained Violinist, integrating live electric violin improvisation into her DJ sets whether it be House, Techno, Drum and Bass, Dubstep or Trance, sharing the stage with the likes of Armin van Buuren, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Charly Lownoise and Mental Theo. Her utter versatility and music knowledge make her a sought-after studio musician and collaborator.

Whilst the original has that radio airplay vibe, we’ve included a remix geared for the dancefloor into this package too! A relatively new artist in the industry, Kit steps up to the plate to present a complete twist on the original. The Bristol based artist has caught the ear of Roni Size after a chance meeting and with past support on his music from the likes of Fabio & Grooverider, DJ Rap, LTJ Bukem and many more we thought it was about time Kit stepped up a level and be commissioned for this remix of Battle Lines.

Described by many as a versatile artist he has chucked a monstrous amount of bass and tight drum programming into this impressive take on the original. Great switch ups make it a dream for DJ’s to play and we hope it makes its way into your record box!

Stay tuned.
