"British house producers Scott Forshaw and Greg Stainer have teamed up for a monster of a record in the form of the vocal/deep house masterpiece ‘Drug of Choice’. Comfortably bridging the house and pop worlds, the song features vocals from regular Somn’thing Records collaborator Mickey Shiloh.
Remixes on the package include Scott & Greg’s alternative, down & dirty take (in the form of the ‘Forstain VIP mix’), Walka, and label head honchos (and Scott’s other alter-ego in partnership with David Newsum) Somn3um.
Scott Forshaw is one of the talented group of fast-rising DJ/producers hailing from Leeds, UK. His sound is instantly recognisable: bass infused House including 90s R&B and Garage references with a hard-hitting groove. It’s this infectious sound which caught the eye of Armada, signing him up in late 2015. Scott’s label credits include the likes ofUniversal, Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi, 3Beat, Toolroom and many more.
Greg Stainer has made waves in the dance scene as one half of the multi award winning duo HOLLAPHONIC, as well as a solo artist. His achievements include multiple gold discs, iTunes #1s and over a million YouTube views. Based in Dubai, the producer has also achieved a top 10 position in DJ Magazine's Middle East & North Africa poll. He’s had support from some of the most influential names in the business including Tiesto, Roger Sanchez, Groove Armada, Mark Knight, Alex Gaudino, Sister Bliss, Axwell, and Erick Morillo.
‘Drug of Choice’ is the next instalment from Somn’thing Records, the label set up by Somn3um earlier this year. The stable has been releasing a slew of top-quality house tracks since its inception in January, and is well and truly blazing its own trail into the summertime.
