"Polish talent Cast Away put together a 3-track EP entitled “Warsaw Outdoors” that certainly caught our ear. House vibes are in full effect, and great difficulty will be encountered in trying to stop your foot from tapping!
“La Douleur Exquise” starts off on the right footing, with a tight groove highlighted by a playful arpeggiated lead. A looped vocal sample gets some work done, giving that nice classic touch.
Next, “One To Wait” mines a similarly rich vein, with a great bass chord progression and vox samples that move a bit more. Techy percussion gives it nice movement, and the horn synth seems perfectly placed every time it pops up.
Wrapping things up, “Take It or Leave It” does justice to the house sound: the pairing of vox with lead synth is immensely satisfying, with great filter flourishes on the bass. The stabs near the end seal the deal, making this one for the books. It's got great bounce, and is sure to make fellow house-heads happy!"
