Kate Boy release debut album 'One'

Stockholm based synth-pop outfit Kate Boy today released their long-awaited debut album, One, on Fiction Records.

It's been three years since the band released their critically acclaimed debut single, Northern Lights; several singles, an EP and a flurry of gigs and festival dates have passed in that time, leaving a line of longing fans waiting in vain for the release of this album.

The record is as turbo charged and enigmatic as their live shows; full of blistering synths, political and poetic lyrics and the vibrant vocal of Australian-born singer Kate Akhurst. It's slightly disappointing to see that 'In Your Eyes' didn't make the LP cut, but the presence of tracks like 'Human Machine' and 'Higher' are real standouts.
